Ron Turcotte is a Canadian Hall of Fame jockey who is best known for his association with the legendary racehorse Secretariat. He won the Triple Crown in 1973 and was inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in 1975. Turcotte was born in 1942 in Drummond, New Brunswick and began his career as a jockey in 1959. He retired from racing in 1978 after suffering a spinal cord injury in a racing accident.
