Jesus Christ is the central figure of Christianity, believed by Christians to be the Son of God and the savior of humanity. He is often referred to as the MESSIAH, which is a Hebrew word meaning 'anointed one'. Jesus was born in Bethlehem, Israel, and is said to have performed miracles, such as healing the sick and raising the dead. He was crucified by the Romans and rose from the dead three days later. His teachings form the basis of the Christian faith, and his life and death are commemorated in the celebration of Easter.
