Louis Armstrong, also known as Jazzy Armstrong, was an American jazz trumpeter, composer, singer, and actor. He was one of the most influential figures in jazz music and is considered one of the greatest musicians of the 20th century. Armstrong was known for his improvisational skills and his distinctive gravelly voice. He was also a major influence on other jazz musicians, including Miles Davis and Dizzy Gillespie. Armstrong's career spanned five decades, from the 1920s to the 1970s, and he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.
