Jazzman Al COHN was an American jazz saxophonist, composer, arranger, and bandleader. He was a major figure in the development of bebop and cool jazz. His career spanned over five decades and he collaborated with many famous musicians, including trumpeter Harry 'Sweets' Edison and singer-trumpeter Herb Alpert. COHN's most famous collaborations were with fellow saxophonist Zoot Sims, with whom he co-led the Four Brothers saxophone quartet. He also worked with singer Tony Bennett and comedian/singer/trumpeter Jack Hirt.
