Nat Adderley was a jazzman and trumpeter who was best known for his collaborations with his brother, saxophonist Julian 'CANNONBALL' Adderley. He was born in Tampa, Florida in 1931 and began playing the trumpet at the age of 12. He went on to become a major figure in the jazz world, performing with some of the most influential jazz musicians of the time, including Miles Davis, John Coltrane, and Charles Mingus. He also released several solo albums and was a member of the CANNONBALL Adderley Quintet. Nat Adderley passed away in 2000 at the age of 69.
