Stan Getz was a renowned jazz saxophonist who was active in the 1950s and 1960s. He was known for his smooth, lyrical style of playing and is considered one of the greatest jazz musicians of all time. Getz was a member of the Stan Getz Quartet and collaborated with many other jazz greats such as Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, and Miles Davis. He won several Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Down Beat Jazz Hall of Fame in 1985.
