Eubie Blake was an American jazz pianist, composer, and lyricist. He was a major figure in the Harlem Renaissance and is considered one of the most influential jazz musicians of the early 20th century. He wrote hundreds of songs, including 'Memories of You' and 'I'm Just Wild About Harry'. He also composed the musical Shuffle Along, which was one of the first Broadway musicals to be written and directed by African Americans.
