Milt Jackson was an American jazz vibraphonist and composer, also known as 'BAGS'. He was a member of the Modern Jazz Quartet, and is considered one of the greatest jazz vibraphonists of all time. Jackson was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1923, and began playing the vibraphone professionally in 1945. He released several solo albums throughout his career, and won a Grammy Award for Best Jazz Instrumental Performance in 1985.
