An ENCLAVE is a group of people who are geographically separated from the main population, and thus isolated from the rest of society. This term is often used to describe a minority group that is surrounded by a larger population, such as a religious or ethnic group. It can also be used to describe a group of people who have chosen to live in isolation from the rest of the world, such as a commune or a cult.
