Islam is the world's second largest religion and its largest branch is Sunni Islam. Sunni Islam is the largest denomination of Islam, representing around 85% of all Muslims worldwide. It is based on the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad and the Quran. Sunni Muslims believe in the five pillars of Islam, including the belief in one God, prayer, fasting, charity, and pilgrimage to Mecca. They also believe in the importance of following the Sunnah, or the example of the Prophet Muhammad.
