The Iroquoian tongue is a language family that includes the CHEROKEE and Erie languages. CHEROKEE is an 8-letter word and Erie is a 4-letter word. Both languages are spoken by Native American tribes in the Eastern United States and Canada. The CHEROKEE language is the most widely spoken of the Iroquoian languages, with over 200, 000 speakers. The Erie language is now extinct, but was once spoken by the Erie people in what is now New York and Pennsylvania.
