Irene Dunne was an American actress and singer of the 1930s and 1940s, often referred to as 'Old Hollywood'. She was nominated five times for the Academy Award for Best Actress, and won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Comedy for her performance in Theodora Goes Wild (1936). She is best remembered for her roles in films such as Cimarron (1931), The Awful Truth (1937), Love Affair (1939), and I Remember Mama (1948).
