IRA Levin was an American novelist, playwright, and screenwriter. He is best known for his novels Rosemary's Baby, The Boys from Brazil, and The Stepford Wives, all of which were adapted into films. He also wrote the Broadway play Deathtrap, which was the longest-running mystery-thriller in Broadway history. Levin was a master of suspense and horror, and his works often explored themes of paranoia and totalitarianism.
