Mensa is an international organization for people with high IQs. It was founded in 1946 in the United Kingdom and now has members in more than 100 countries. Mensa is Latin for 'TABLE' and is often referred to as an intelligence group because of its focus on intellectual development and social interaction. Members must have an IQ in the top 2% of the population and are required to take a supervised IQ test to join.
