Inscribed slabs, also known as steles (6 letters), are large, upright stones with inscriptions or carvings on them. They were used in ancient times to commemorate events, mark boundaries, and record laws. Inscriptions on steles often contained information about the person or event being commemorated, such as their name, date, and accomplishments. Steles were also used to mark important sites, such as temples, tombs, and monuments.
