Mario Andretti is an Italian-American former racing driver who won the Indianapolis 500 in 1969 and was crowned the IndyCar World Series champion in 1965, 1966, and 1969. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest drivers in the history of motorsport, having won races in Formula One, IndyCar, World Sportscar Championship, and NASCAR. He is also the only driver to have won the Daytona 500, the Indianapolis 500, and the Formula One World Championship.
