Indy Autos, also known as IndyCars, are open-wheel race cars that are used in the IndyCar Series, an American-based auto racing series sanctioned by IndyCar. The cars are powered by 2.2-liter turbocharged V6 engines and are capable of reaching speeds of up to 230 mph. Racers, or drivers, of these cars compete in a variety of races, including the Indianapolis 500, which is the most prestigious event in the series.
