An Indian Nurse is a term used to describe two different types of nurses. An AYAH is a nursemaid or nanny, usually from India, who is employed by a family to look after their children. An AMAH is a female servant or nursemaid, also usually from India, who is employed to look after the elderly or sick. Both Ayahs and Amahs are traditionally employed in households in India and other parts of South Asia.
