Inculpation is the act of accusing or indicting someone of a crime. It is related to the terms ACCUSATION, INDICTMENT, ALLEGATION, and IMPEACHMENT. An ACCUSATION is an assertion that someone has committed a crime or is responsible for some wrongdoing. An INDICTMENT is a formal charge made by a grand jury alleging that a person has committed a crime. An ALLEGATION is a claim or assertion that someone has done something illegal or wrong. IMPEACHMENT is the process of bringing formal charges against a public official for misconduct in office.
