Sir Christopher WREN was an important British architect in the 17th century. He is best known for designing and building St. Paul's Cathedral in London, which was completed in 1710. He also designed many other churches, monuments, and public buildings in England. WREN was a founding member of the Royal Society and was knighted by King Charles II in 1673. He is remembered as one of the most influential architects in British history.
