An immobilizing weapon is a device used to temporarily incapacitate a person or animal. Two examples of such weapons are the Taser and the Stungun. The Taser is an electroshock weapon that uses electrical current to disrupt voluntary control of muscles, while the Stungun is a handheld device that delivers an electric shock to its target. Both of these weapons are non-lethal and are used to subdue individuals without causing serious injury.
