Illusionist Doug Henning was a Canadian magician, illusionist, and escape artist who was known for his elaborate stage shows. He was one of the most famous magicians of the 20th century, and was the first to bring magic back into the public eye in the 1970s. Henning was also an actor, appearing in several films and television specials. He was the recipient of numerous awards, including the Academy of Magical Arts' Magician of the Year award in 1983.
