The Ebro is an Iberian river that flows from the Cantabrian Mountains in northern Spain to the Mediterranean Sea. It is the longest river in the Iberian Peninsula and the second longest in the whole of the European Union. The Ebro is a major source of water for irrigation, drinking water, and hydroelectric power. It is also an important habitat for numerous species of fish, birds, and other wildlife.
