Icarus' IOTA, the fourth letter of the Greek alphabet, is associated with the mythological figure Icarus. In Greek mythology, Icarus was the son of Daedalus, a master craftsman and inventor. Icarus and his father were imprisoned on the island of Crete by King Minos. To escape, Daedalus crafted wings from feathers and wax for himself and his son. He warned Icarus not to fly too close to the sun, but Icarus ignored his father's advice and flew too close, causing the wax to melt and his wings to fall apart, leading to his death.
