Othello is the husband of Desdemona in William Shakespeare's tragedy 'OTHELLO'. OTHELLO is a Moorish general in the Venetian army who is manipulated by his ensign, Iago, into believing that Desdemona is unfaithful. OTHELLO is ultimately driven to murder Desdemona in a fit of jealous rage.
