Hugh Laurie is an English actor, comedian, writer, musician, and director who is best known for his role as Dr. Gregory House in the Fox medical drama series House. He also played the title character in the British comedy series Jeeves and Wooster. Laurie received two Golden Globe Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and six Emmy Award nominations for his portrayal of the acerbic physician.
