HS Equivalency Exams are exams that allow individuals to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in order to receive a high school equivalency diploma. GEDs, or General Educational Development tests, are one type of HS Equivalency Exam. These tests are designed to measure the academic skills and knowledge of students who have not completed high school. The GED tests cover five subject areas: Math, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, and Writing.
