The Houston Football Team is the professional American football team based in Houston, Texas. The team competes in the National Football League (NFL) as a member of the American Football Conference (AFC) South division. The team is commonly referred to as the Texans and their official name is the Houston Texans. The Texans were founded in 2002 and are the youngest franchise in the NFL. They have won the AFC South division title four times and have made the playoffs seven times.
