Nat Holman was a professional basketball player, coach, and innovator. He is best known for his time as the head coach of the City College of New York (CCNY) men's basketball team from 1920 to 1959. Holman was a pioneer in the sport, introducing a fast-paced style of play that emphasized passing and teamwork. He was also one of the first coaches to use the full-court press defense. Holman was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1961.
