The ALPS are a mountain range located in Central and Southern Europe, stretching from Austria and Slovenia in the east, through Italy, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Germany to France in the west. They are one of the highest points of Europe, with many peaks reaching over 4, 000 meters. The ALPS are home to some of the most popular ski resorts in the world, as well as a variety of other outdoor activities.
