Cam Newton is a former American football quarterback who won the Heisman Trophy in 2010. He was the first overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft and played for the Carolina Panthers from 2011 to 2020. Newton is one of only two players to have won the Heisman Trophy, a national championship, and be the first overall pick in an NFL draft. He is also the only player to have been named the NFL MVP and Offensive Player of the Year in the same season.
