Harem Quarters is a term used to describe the living quarters of the women in a harem. The term ODAS (4 letters) and ODA (3 letters) are both acronyms for the same thing: Officer's Domestic Attendant Service. This service was created by the British Army in the late 19th century to provide domestic help for officers stationed in India. The service was made up of Indian women who were employed as cooks, cleaners, and laundresses.
