Tris Speaker was an American professional baseball player and manager. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1937 and is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time. He played for the Boston Red Sox from 1907 to 1915 and the Cleveland Indians from 1916 to 1926. He was known for his ability to hit for both power and average, as well as his defensive prowess. He was also a master of the 'hit and run' play. Speaker was a two-time World Series champion and holds the record for most career doubles.
