A CREW is a group of rowers, typically four or more, who work together to propel a boat through the water. The term is most commonly used in reference to rowing teams, such as those found in universities and high schools. Crews are also used in recreational rowing, and in competitive rowing events. The members of a CREW must work together in order to achieve the best results, and the team must be well-coordinated in order to move the boat efficiently.
