The term 'Greek Z's' is a reference to the sorority Zeta Tau Alpha, which was founded in 1898 at the State Female Normal School (now Longwood University) in Farmville, Virginia. The sorority is one of the oldest and largest women's organizations in the United States, with over 250, 000 members worldwide. Zeta Tau Alpha is a member of the National Panhellenic Conference, an umbrella organization for 26 national and international sororities.
