The term GRAND COULEE OR ASWAN can be summarized as two large dams, the Grand Coulee DAM in the United States and the Aswan DAM in Egypt. The Grand Coulee DAM is a concrete gravity DAM on the Columbia River in the U.S. state of Washington, built to produce hydroelectric power and provide irrigation water.
