Goya, for one, is a reference to the Spanish artist Francisco de Goya. He was an ETCHER, PAINTER, and SPANIARD who lived from 1746 to 1828. He is considered to be one of the most important painters of the late 18th and early 19th centuries and is known for his works in portraiture, history painting, and printmaking. He is also remembered for his satirical and sometimes dark works which often depicted the struggles of the Spanish people during his lifetime.
