Goose formation, also known as a V-formation, is a type of flight pattern used by birds, particularly geese, to reduce air resistance and conserve energy. The birds fly in a V-shape, with the lead bird taking the brunt of the wind resistance while the other birds benefit from the slipstream created by the lead bird. This formation allows the birds to fly farther and faster than they would be able to on their own.
