Golfer Arnie is a nickname for Arnold Palmer, an American professional golfer who won numerous events on the PGA Tour and Champions Tour from 1955 to 2006. He was one of the most successful golfers of all time, winning seven major championships and 62 PGA Tour titles. He was also the first golfer to earn $1 million in prize money. Palmer was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1974 and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2004.
