The goddess Hestia is a figure from Greek mythology, known as the goddess of hearth and home. She was one of the twelve Olympian gods and goddesses, and was the eldest daughter of Cronus and Rhea. Hestia was the goddess of the hearth, home, and domestic life, and was also associated with the sacrificial flame and hospitality. She was venerated as a protector of the family and was often depicted as a woman seated on a throne, holding a scepter.
