A glacial ridge is a type of landform created by the movement of glaciers. It is composed of an ARETE, which is a sharp ridge formed by two glaciers eroding away at opposite sides of a mountain, an OSAR, which is a mound of sediment deposited by a melting glacier, a kame, which is a hill or mound of sediment deposited by a melting glacier, a serac, which is an ice formation found on a glacier, an ESKER, which is a long winding ridge of sediment deposited by a melting glacier, and an eskar, which is a dry ridge formed by the deposition of sediment by a melting glacier.
