Sara Gilbert is an American actress, director, and producer best known for her role as Darlene Conner in the ABC sitcom Roseanne (1988–1997; 2018) and as a co-host on the daytime talk show The Talk. She is also the creator and executive producer of the CBS sitcom Living Biblically (2018). Gilbert was born in Santa Monica, California, and began her career at age six, appearing in the television series Little House on the Prairie. She has since appeared in numerous films and television series, including Poison Ivy (1992), High Fidelity (2000), and Riding in Cars with Boys (2001).
