The German ex-Chancellor is Helmut KOHL, who served as Chancellor of Germany from 1982 to 1998. He was a major figure in German and European politics during the Cold War and is widely regarded as one of the most influential statesmen of the 20th century. He was also the longest-serving Chancellor of Germany since Otto von Bismarck. During his tenure, he oversaw the reunification of Germany and the introduction of the euro.
