The Georgetown Hoyas are the basketball team of Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. The team is also known as the Georgetown Hoyas, or simply the Hoyas, and they have been a part of the Big East Conference since the 1979-1980 season. The team has won seven Big East regular season championships and five Big East Tournament championships. They have also made it to the NCAA Final Four four times, most recently in 2007.
