Geoffrey BEENE was an American fashion designer who was known for his modern and innovative designs. He was born in Haynesville, Louisiana in 1924 and began his career in the 1950s. He was a leader in the fashion industry, creating timeless pieces that are still popular today. He was also known for his philanthropic work, donating to numerous charities throughout his lifetime. BEENE was awarded the Coty Award in 1963 and the CFDA Lifetime Achievement Award in 1990. He passed away in 2004 at the age of 80.
