A genetic twin, also known as a monozygotic twin, is a type of identical twin that occurs when a single fertilized egg splits and develops into two separate embryos. The two resulting individuals have the same genetic makeup and are usually of the same sex. Clones, on the other hand, are genetically identical organisms that are created through artificial means. Clones are not naturally occurring and are created by scientists in a laboratory setting.
