Geese-in-flight formation, also known as a V-formation, is a type of formation that geese use when they are flying in groups. It is believed that this formation helps the geese to conserve energy and fly further distances. The V-formation is created by the birds flying in a V-shape, with each bird slightly behind and to the side of the bird in front of it.
