The Gaza Group is a Palestinian militant organization known as Hamas. Hamas is an acronym for the Islamic Resistance Movement and is considered a terrorist organization by many countries, including the United States. Hamas has been involved in numerous conflicts with Israel since its founding in 1987. The group is based in the Gaza Strip and is dedicated to the destruction of Israel and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. Hamas has been responsible for numerous attacks against Israeli civilians and military personnel, as well as suicide bombings and rocket attacks.
