Setters are a type of hunting dog that was originally bred to locate and set game birds for hunters. Retrievers are a type of gun dog that were bred to retrieve game from both land and water. Springer Spaniels are a type of gundog that were bred to flush out game from dense cover. All three of these breeds are popularly used in the sport of hunting.
