Galba's successor was Otho, a four-letter word. Otho was a Roman Emperor who reigned for a brief period of three months in 69 AD. He was the ninth Roman Emperor of the Year of the Four Emperors. Otho was a member of the ancient Roman nobility and had served as a general under Nero. He was proclaimed emperor after the suicide of Galba, his predecessor. Otho's reign ended with his own suicide after being defeated by Vitellius, the next emperor.
